The passing of a friend

Very sadly, Puddin, The tailless one passed away during the night of 17th-18th December 2009.

He passed away quietly and has left very tearful friends.

Rest quietly my friend.

potato wedge

not a very clear picture, I'm afraid, but this is a delicacy called "potato wedge". it tastes good, slightly crunchy but not too hard for an old cat with teeth missing and best of all, I chased it all round the kitchen, out into the hall and back again before settling down to eat it - you can get your claws really in to it and give it a good flip to travel further.

supper time treats

two exciting things for supper today.
first, the youngest staff member had a visitor who left some pasta and tomatoes. Me, Me, Me - I miaowed, and after all that nonsense about "Cats don't eat pasta" and "you won't like it", they handed it over. well, I'm not actually sure about the pasta. the tomatoey stuff was very nice but the pasta was slippery and difficult to chew.
secondly, the older staff had sweet chilli chicken. they always leave the best bit of chicken, which, as anybody knows, is the skin but today's was especially nice - crunchy and full of flavour. I also got the bones to clean up, as usual, but they accidentally got left with me over-night, so I've crunched them up completely.

It's been a good sort of day. Staff went shopping this morning and brought some cheese and onion crisps which I made them share. THEN, we had chicken drumsticks for dinner with lots of lovely bits for me. Yum, yum.

the staff have been off gallivanting again but at least this time they've brought me a present - a packet of salt and vinegar crisps, all the way from Wales. How generous is that? -not very, normally people buy cat toys or something cool. I really love them though - crisps, not my staff.

I don't like Joanna Lumley very much. She doesn't understand cats. She says we cannot be trained and makes it sound like we run around out of control.

I am The Tailless One because of a road accident which took away at least one of my lives and the vet wanted to take away the rest. My staff stood by me and I live today in harmony with them.

They don't want me to sit on laps unless invited - I don't by agreement.

They don't want me to sit on furniture - I don't by agreement although we do agree I may use a chair to get to my favourite spot on the window sill.

They don't want me to go upstairs - I don't by agreement although I will sit half way up when that horrid machine that makes all that noise and eats my hair from the carpet comes out and this is by concession.

They don't want me to bite people anymore - I don't by agreement and if I very occasionally forget I am reminded of our agreement and stop it again. I was a stray and survived by biting so surely the odd indiscretion can be forgiven?

They don't want me to yow for food every five minutes - but hey even I have to draw the line somewhere!

It seems the staff have been keeping things from me. They had something for their dinner today and it looked very tasty."NO" they said "you won't like it, it's not cat food. It's pasta and tomatoes"
A little visitor left some ( a waste, I think) so I persuaded them to let me try - and its delicious. They've been deliberately keeping this from me for years!

Been trying to learn a new trick today from my butler. He was trying to help me learn the correct sound of a cat on a motorway..... meeeeeeeeeooooooooow, but I struggle with the doppler effect. Meow.

an excellent day today - food-wise, at least. the youngest member of staff had tinned salmon at lunch - there's always a delicious tin to clean after this. THEN, the staff had roast chicken for dinner and remembered to give me the best bit - nice crispy skin. yum, yum.

three ginger cats

the staff went out yesterday( don't let them know what I did while they were gone) and saw three very strange ginger cats. I don't race around when it's hot, but these three seem very lifeless.

Hi fans. As you can see I'm having a very busy,stressful day here. So much sun to soak up and grass to lie on to prevent it growing. Later I plan on cleaning myself in a manner designed to annoy the staff.

Hello world-wide fans! I am Puddin the tailless one. i am a cat/domestic tiger. i lost mi tail 12 years ago. at the same time i lost all of my street cred. i am trying to find happines in blogging. obviousli I dont write mi blog, thts mi staffs job. i hav a staff of 3 measly humans. i scratch them if they put the wrong things on mi blog. well. i used 2 scratch, but i am old now so i meiow very hard. busy need to relax now. got 2 go (g2g)
